Gainesville is greening, and Parisleaf Printing and Design is engaging the university this Earth Day. Parisleaf focuses on sustainability by planting trees year-round. On Friday, the company gave students the chance to plant their own tree through the Parisleaf’s social networks to recognize Earth Day. Parisleaf went to UF’s Turlington Plaza on Friday to give away laptop stickers that featured comical memes relating to the company and its eco-friendly initiatives. The Not-So-Green Generation?

Look anywhere, and it’s clear – green is cool. We’re carrying reusable bags when we go to the supermarket. Driving more fuel-efficient cars to get where we need to go. Some of us are even utilizing alternative forms of energy to power the appliances we love most. So a recent study should come as a real shock, especially since it touts the current generation as less green than their predecessors. Yes, I said less green.
